Ar Raheem
The Merciful
Ar Raheem is name #2 of the 99 names of Allah (الأَسْمَاءُ الْحُسْنَى). In the hadith tradition, the Prophet ﷺ said: "Allah has ninety-nine names, one hundred minus one, and whoever believes in their meanings and acts accordingly, will enter Paradise." (Sahih al-Bukhari 7392)
The verses below use the exact form of this name in the Quran, as a noun or as a clear divine attribute.
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
The Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Then Adam received from his Lord [some] words, and He accepted his repentance. Indeed, it is He who is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful
And [recall] when Moses said to his people, "O my people, indeed you have wronged yourselves by your taking of the calf [for worship]. So repent to your Creator and kill yourselves. That is best for [all of] you in the sight of your Creator." Then He accepted your repentance; indeed, He is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful
Our Lord, and make us Muslims [in submission] to You and from our descendants a Muslim nation [in submission] to You. And show us our rites and accept our repentance. Indeed, You are the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful
Except for those who repent and correct themselves and make evident [what they concealed]. Those - I will accept their repentance, and I am the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful
And your god is one God. There is no deity [worthy of worship] except Him, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Do they not know that it is Allah who accepts repentance from His servants and receives charities and that it is Allah who is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful
And [He also forgave] the three who were left behind [and regretted their error] to the point that the earth closed in on them in spite of its vastness and their souls confined them and they were certain that there is no refuge from Allah except in Him. Then He turned to them so they could repent. Indeed, Allah is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful
And if Allah should touch you with adversity, there is no remover of it except Him; and if He intends for you good, then there is no repeller of His bounty. He causes it to reach whom He wills of His servants. And He is the Forgiving, the Merciful
He said, "I will ask forgiveness for you from my Lord. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful
[O Muhammad], inform My servants that it is I who am the Forgiving, the Merciful
And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful
And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful
And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful
And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful
And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful
And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful
And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful
And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful
And rely upon the Exalted in Might, the Merciful
Indeed, it is from Solomon, and indeed, it reads: 'In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
He said, "My Lord, indeed I have wronged myself, so forgive me," and He forgave him. Indeed, He is the Forgiving, the Merciful
In the victory of Allah. He gives victory to whom He wills, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful
That is the Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, the Exalted in Might, the Merciful
He knows what penetrates into the earth and what emerges from it and what descends from the heaven and what ascends therein. And He is the Merciful, the Forgiving
[This is] a revelation of the Exalted in Might, the Merciful
Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful
[This is] a revelation from the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
The heavens almost break from above them, and the angels exalt [Allah] with praise of their Lord and ask forgiveness for those on earth. Unquestionably, it is Allah who is the Forgiving, the Merciful
Except those [believers] on whom Allah has mercy. Indeed, He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful
Or do they say, "He has invented it?" Say, "If I have invented it, you will not possess for me [the power of protection] from Allah at all. He is most knowing of that in which you are involved. Sufficient is He as Witness between me and you, and He is the Forgiving the Merciful
Indeed, we used to supplicate Him before. Indeed, it is He who is the Beneficent, the Merciful
He is Allah, other than whom there is no deity, Knower of the unseen and the witnessed. He is the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
