Al Muhiy

The Giver of life

5 verses in the Quran concept — not a direct Quranic form

Al Muhiy is name #60 of the 99 names of Allah (الأَسْمَاءُ الْحُسْنَى). In the hadith tradition, the Prophet ﷺ said: "Allah has ninety-nine names, one hundred minus one, and whoever believes in their meanings and acts accordingly, will enter Paradise." (Sahih al-Bukhari 7392)

This name does not appear in the Quran in its exact noun form; the verses below use related concepts — verbal forms, divine actions, or attributes that classical scholars (al-Ghazali, Ibn al-Qayyim, al-Jalalayn) grouped under this name.

And do not say about those who are killed in the way of Allah, "They are dead." Rather, they are alive, but you perceive [it] not

And not equal are the living and the dead. Indeed, Allah causes to hear whom He wills, but you cannot make hear those in the graves
