Al Hafeez
The Preserver
Al Hafeez is name #38 of the 99 names of Allah (الأَسْمَاءُ الْحُسْنَى). In the hadith tradition, the Prophet ﷺ said: "Allah has ninety-nine names, one hundred minus one, and whoever believes in their meanings and acts accordingly, will enter Paradise." (Sahih al-Bukhari 7392)
The verses below use the exact form of this name in the Quran, as a noun or as a clear divine attribute.
But if they turn away, [say], "I have already conveyed that with which I was sent to you. My Lord will give succession to a people other than you, and you will not harm Him at all. Indeed my Lord is, over all things, Guardian
[Joseph] said, "Appoint me over the storehouses of the land. Indeed, I will be a knowing guardian
And he had over them no authority except [it was decreed] that We might make evident who believes in the Hereafter from who is thereof in doubt. And your Lord, over all things, is Guardian
And those who take as allies other than Him - Allah is [yet] Guardian over them; and you, [O Muhammad], are not over them a manager
We know what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a retaining record
[It will be said], "This is what you were promised - for every returner [to Allah] and keeper [of His covenant]
